Crossing another (delicious) item off my birthday goal list.
Apparently gelato is no longer in vogue. A few years ago you couldn’t hit up a mini mall here in L.A. without stumbling upon a gelato shop. I had a few favorites, but they slowly closed down and I have been left gelato-less. Sure, Whole Foods has a gelato bar. But there’s not enough choice, and it isn’t a cute little store that sells just gelato, knowwhatimean?
Enter Melt. There’s a location not too far from home, and it has a cute little patio out back where you can enjoy your melting gelato while you ponder the world’s pressing energy problems (or you can think about how you haven’t been to the movies since January, which is more my speed).
I had a split scoop of Toasted Almond Coconut Fudge and Pistachio. Mmmm. Let me tell you, it passed the taste test. Yes. Now this shop better stay open, dammit.
