I saw this image on Design Sponge last week. I’m not sure whether it’s the fact that my reading rainbow bookshelf is getting full or that the pile of books by my bed is ever-growing, possibly because I keep adding to it, but I started to think it would be a neat idea to store books like this. Trashy summer beach reads. Sappy romance novels. Cookie-cutter commercial fiction. The books you aren’t keen to display but love nonetheless. (This would be every other book I read, by the way.)
These arrangements using white book covers are also pretty rad. What if you took a red, blue, purple or your favorite color ink pen and wrote the titles of all the books in the lower spine? Time consuming, yes, but I think it would be really stunning once the project was complete.
