We did it. We moved from California to Kansas City!
It was a large undertaking that involved a caravan through seven states: H drove a large moving van towing his car behind him, and I followed with the girls in my car.
When we got here, we realized that some things had somehow not survived the move. Among them, my beloved Swiffer (RIP) and the pillows for our bed (not sure how that happened).
So as it happens, I’ve been adding things to my Amazon cart left and right for the past few weeks. Many times to replace lost items, and often just because I’ve found some pretty cool stuff.
Add to cart: Amazon home decor
These 10 Amazon home decor items have piqued my interest, and I think they’ll get you to take a look, too.
Feel free to add to your cart today. Save for later at the very least!
Macrame Wall Hangings Set of 3
I’ve been eyeing 23 Bees’ set of three wall hangings for my youngest daughter’s room. They’re beautiful, minimalist and soft (one of my many requirements for toddler wall art). But honestly, I could just as easily hang these over the master bed, I love the look of them so much. Reviewers rave about the quality and how much bigger the hangings are than they expected.
Small Faux Marble Vase
I added this vase to my cart because I thought it would make a pretty toothbrush holder. Generally, I dislike buying traditional bathroom decor because it is so one-note and can’t be used for any other purpose. This little guy could also be a pencil holder, a utensil container for parties or even (gasp) a vase for flowers. Reviewers didn’t like that it wasn’t real marble, but for $16.99, who in their right mind would expect that it was?
Marble Table Lamp
In our move we ended up losing the accent lamps for our master bedroom. I loved those lamps, but they were a little bulky on our midcentury bedside tables. This lamp seems like just the ticket. Simple, modern and just the right size for our space.
Matte Face Wall Sculpture
This face sculpture is super on trend right now, and with a price tag that makes it reasonable to try. I’d probably hang it as-is as part of a stairway gallery wall, or maybe even in the bathroom with a (faux) plant hanging from the top vase opening to mimic hair.
Jonathan Adler Wink Box
I don’t know about you, but it feels like tiny, one-off items keep multiplying in my house. For this reason, I like to keep decorative containers strategically located to collect randomness. This box is beyond cool, and not an “eye”sore at all (hahaha).
Round Wall Mirror
Round mirrors have been on fire for a few years now, and I don’t expect them to ever go out of style. This mirror caught my eye after seeing how many reviewers love it. I may need to revise my round mirror post to include this option!
Geometric Wall Decor Planters
This set of six multicolored wall planters keeps going in and out of stock, so if you happen to catch it out of stock, take heart: They also come in sets of three. And if you’re not a fan of the colors, you may like the all white or the all black sets. There’s also a six-piece black-and-white set.
Color-Changing Eye Speaker
I know: Like, do I really need another wifi speaker? Um, hello, have you seen this thing? It looks like a giant eyeball and changes colors. SIGN ME UP. Plus, many reviewers mention taking it out on their patios at night and enjoying music to a gentle glow. Doesn’t that sound soothing?
Anime Potted Faux Succulents Set of 6
I added these to my cart for my oldest daughter, who just turned 9. She’s into emojis and anime and aren’t these the most adorable little pots you’ve ever seen? I’m actually thinking of ordering a set to keep for last-minute gifts. A framed printable + one of these cuties = happy gift recipient, indeed.
Rustic Wood Shelves Set of 3
A set of three shelves for less than $30 — yes, please. These are bookmarked for the kids’ rooms, but they are so versatile they could go anywhere. I also like that they can be configured a few different ways and that they come in several wood colors so you can match the shelves to your own individual taste.
