Every time one of these movies is on television, Husband rubs his hands together like a mad genius and says, “Oooh, goody.” Not really, but he might as well, he loves them so much. It’s because of this undying love that I’ve managed to see both films in bits and pieces, but never all of them. It’s a major time commitment, I’ll have you know. This time I sat down and — three hours later for the first, three and half hours for the second — I became a bonafide member of the Corleone clan. Now when someone says a Godfather quote, I don’t have to shrug. Now I can chuckle or maybe even repeat another one back. I’m finally In The Know. I’m also hankering to learn Italian because of these movies. È una bella lingua!
