If you follow me on Instagram, you might be aware that this project was nearly my first fail. I really thought it would be easy, that I could just wrap the yarn around and maybe glue it a little at the end and call it good. I had hoped it would look as great as the one that inspired me.
Unfortunately I had to bring glue and scissors into it, and as a result I’m neither 100 percent happy about the results nor about the time I spent achieving these subpar results.
My letter looks like a mummy with a bad bikini wax.
I guess that’s what we get for having a last name that starts with the letter “M,” with that crazy sharp midsection. I have plans to do something cool with an “A” for Alexa’s room. Don’t worry; I’m staying away from the yarn this time. I’ll leave that to the professionals.
OK, now that I’m looking at the M in the dark of my living room as it chills out on the top row of our bookshelf, it looks OK. Dim light is its friend.
