Feminist Books for Kids of All Ages • Little Gold Pixel

Now that our new baby is almost here, I’ve been looking to replenish our board book stash. The majority of our previous collection has been donated to friends and family over the years. I think we have just a few board books left, including Goodnight Moon because of course I have to keep Goodnight Moon.

While hunting for fresh titles, I discovered something exciting: Children’s feminist books are having a real moment.

I found several board books to add to our baby’s wish list. I also found some picture books I want to buy for our 7-year-old. And I found some brilliant books marketed to older kids and teens that I kinnnnnnda want for myself (ahem, Bad Girls Throughout History: 100 Remarkable Women Who Changed the World).

Additionally, I couldn’t resist adding a few of my childhood favorites to this wish list (Pippi Longstocking is coming into your world).

Ultimately, I added so many to my kids’ wish lists that I had to share them all with you. Hopefully this list will come in handy when you’re looking for birthday or holiday gifts to give the kids in your life.
