I’m going to let you in on one of my biggest printable gift ideas: how to turn 1 printable into 4 different gifts.
Is it me, or is the holiday sneaking up on us this year?
I just realized that this is realistically the last weekend I can order physical gifts online to get here before Dec. 24, and it’s the first weekend I’m actually thinking about my naughty & nice list (haha).
Luckily, you can always hop over to Little Gold Pixel and download a piece of art all the way up to the last minute. And you can use it more than once.
Yes, you read that correctly.
“Can I print this more than once?” is one of the most frequent emails I receive. I love that my customers are so polite, but the answer is a resounding YES! Please do! Enjoy the heck out of your downloadable art!
As long as you’re not selling the design or printing out millions of copies, you are well within the personal use rule.
In fact — now here’s where it gets fun — I’ll show you how you can GIFT the same printable to four different people.
Here we go.
1. For your best friend
First, a printable plus a frame always makes a great gift, and can easily stand on its own. But to take your gift to the next level, you can also pick up that gorgeous journal she’s been eyeing at Anthro.
2. For your mom
Start again with a stylish gold frame from Target, plus your printable. Then wrap up one of her favorite candles for a very hygge home decor-inspired present.
3. For your child’s teacher
I have it on good authority that teachers have plenty of coffee mugs and chocolates. So give it to them straight: A cute card (signed by your kid, of course) with a Target gift card stuffed inside is the ticket. Turning your printable into a card is easy — you just need a thick card stock paper. Print letter size, then fold in half. Voila!
4. For anyone on your list
A patterned printable like this one (or may I suggest the very festive Red Terrazzo) also plays double duty as wrapping paper! So it works whether you’re wrapping up a baby toy, and iPhone or a pair of socks. Just print out via your home printer. Keep in mind that a thinner copy paper is easier to fold, though a multipurpose paper is more difficult to see through.
