It’s the middle of summer, so naturally it’s time to start thinking about going back to school.
I can hear the inner child in me screaming “noooooooo!” I can also hear my literal child screaming “noooooo!” at the thought of going back to school next month.
The other night I had a dream about being a freshman in college again, only this time instead of renting an apartment, I lived in the dorms.
In my dream, I was cooking mac and cheese on a hot plate and getting ready to go to the bars with my roommate and fake ID.
Perhaps the dream signals that I’m regretting not having this communal dorm experience myself.
I’ve never had to squeeze all my possessions in a small space, for instance. Or cook mac and cheese on a hot plate.
(I did go to the bars with my fake ID and take my laundry home to my parents’ house, so there’s that.)
Decorating in a small space like a dorm room would have to be a challenge, for sure, but I can think of one way to pack and easy punch: tapestries!
