I’ve been a fan of this quote for a while. And, judging from a quick Google search, the rest of the Internet is into it, too.

It’s been a super busy week at work, with overtime and lots of creative work. I’m feeling drained when I get home, but in the best way possible. Molding and mixing and watching something take shape is the most rewarding part of design work.

Unfortunately, as a result, I haven’t felt like writing or creating much in this space the past few days. I once heard that you can only make a finite amount of decisions in one day before you’re tapped out. Friends, I am tapped. out.

Then I happened to come across this Sweat, Tears, Sea printable in a random folder on my laptop. Apparently I started working on it a while ago and never shared. It’s almost like I planned this. (Let’s pretend I did.)

I wanted a symbolic, more graphic and less literal translation of the full quote, focusing on the spirit of the ocean without a literal photo of the ocean.

This would look great anywhere, but I could especially imagine hanging it in the bathroom … or, ideally, in the beach house I’ve been dreaming about on Pinterest.
